Aye, was very excited to try it being a newPepin cigar (last year).

Maybe had the wrong expectations?

Did tried the robusto a second time and was found it to be more of the same.

Aside from a few i’ve not tried anything else Pepin makes has been wonderful.

If Pepin Garcia doesn’t make these anymore, that might explain why I didn’t like it. I generally like everything he produces.

I had a Padilla recently and I was less than impressed. I am not sure the year, but I was told by the guy behind the counter that Pepin Garcia no longer made cigars for Padilla, though I have no idea if he is correct in that assertion. I had a similar experience to you, though I was not sick from it. Just did not like the cigar. At the moment the one I like best is a La Flor Dominicana Ligero.

Yes, I agree. I think they must not want to re-use cigars on each years list, over and over again. But I am not sure. Still, the point is to find a good smoke that you like, so trying some of these won’t hurt anything.

Don’t be fooled by this list.
Just think about this for a second: none of the cigars on last years list are on the list this year. It’s not possible that all of the 25 best cigars of 2006 were eclipsed in 2007 by 25 cigars that were all available last year as well.
The list is disingenuous.
