Ashton VSG Torpedo,
This dark figurado is box pressed and silky. The draw is perfect and the smoke is rich. Meaty, full-bodied flavors have notes of leather and earth. The cigar started smooth and finished smooth, I smoked it all the way down to the nub and it never got too hot. The cigar gets its filler and binder from the Dominican Republic and it wrapper from Ecuador.
Ashton makes a great line of cigars and the VSGs are among the top of the line. I think that I liked this one as good if not just a touch better than the San Cristobal that I bought at this same smoke-shop a couple of weeks ago.
I rate this cigar at an A- and would add it to my top 10 list.
